The News Can Be The Source of Your Anxiety

Our society has been consuming news since the 1600s. Did you know that the Romans created the first newspapers? Some of the most important announcements were carved in stone tablets and placed in highly populated hours. Now, we live in a society where we receive our news from multiple sources such as TV, Social Media, and Email. Because of all of these new media sources, our brains are constantly overloaded with unnecessary news.

Have you noticed that the news is almost all the time negative? All we hear about are shootings, killings, robberies, car accidents, and more. When your brain constantly consumes this news, it begins to believe that the world is a horrible place. The only thing that makes the world a scary place is humans. The world itself is very beautiful, but we are constantly fed and influenced by negative media that triggers hatred in humans.

The easiest feeling for a human to feel is negativity, it is our mind's default mode. The only way for us to change the way we think is to make the effort, which is very difficult when the media capitalizes on human fear. The new’s outlets are a media business and at the end of the day, they only care about ratings and money…
